MORRISVILLE, N.Y.­ – Sophomore Felipe Cavalcanti (Valatie/Ichabod Crane) netted two scores within a three minute span to lead the Oswego State men's soccer team to a 3-1 SUNYAC win over Morrisville State Wednesday afternoon in Morrisville.

Capitalizing on a penalty kick at 20:35 in the first half, Cavalcanti gave the Lakers (3-4, 1-1 SUNYAC) the early one goal lead, before extending it to two at 23:05 off a cross from junior Dave Baldanza (Herkimer) within the box.

In the second half, Musa Almaliti (Syracuse) brought the Mustangs (2-5-2, 0-2-0 SUNYAC) within one, netting the score from the midfield off a quick touch from Jeffrey Sekyere (Bronx) in the 54th minute of play.  Freshman Bryan Pacchiana (Cortlandt Manor/Lakeland) added a third score for the Lakers at 60:57, striking from the right side of the box off a pass from Ryan Aman (Walworth/Wayne), securing the win for Oswego.

Sophomore Matt Wopperer (Manlius/Fayetteville-Manlius) made his first start in goal to register the win for Oswego, saving three, including turning away a penalty kick early in the contest.  Morrisville State's Andrey Tomoroska (Solvay) saved 14 in 80 minutes of play as teammate Eric Stein (Oswego) recorded one in the final ten minutes for the Mustangs.
