Tricia Sullivan (Copenhagen) tallied 10 points and two steals for Oswego State, but host College at Brockport took a 25-16 halftime lead and never trailed throughout the game in posting a 66-43 win in the quarterfinal round of the 2009 State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Women's Basketball Tournament. The Lakers, seeded fifth in the tournamenr, finish the 2008-09 season with an 11-15 record.
Freshman Kayla Ryan (Schaghticoke/Hoosic Valley) finished with nine points and six rebounds, while sophomore Colleen McCready (Pittsford/Pittsford Mendon) totaled six points, four rebounds, a game-high three blocked shots, and a steal, as the Lakers shot 28.8 percent (17-of-59) from the floor.
Three players scored in double digits for fourth-seeded Brockport (17-9) led by Brenlyn Campbell with 19 points and ten rebounds. Jen Buskus and Rachel Csakany added 13 points each.
