The Oswego State volleyball came away with a straight set victory (25-14, 25-19, 25-23) over Elms to wrap up play at the Union Invitational on Saturday in Schenectady. Earlier in the day, the Lakers lost to Utica (14-25, 21-25, 14-25).

Jess Isgro (So., Brockport, N.Y.) was the top hitter for Oswego State on the day as she compiled 16 kills versus Utica and 10 against Elms.  Isgro was joined in double-digits by Katie van Kessel (So., Millbrook, N.Y.), who tallied 10 kills in the Elms contest. 

Liz Crouch (Jr., Honeoye Falls, N.Y.) combined to dish out 51 assists in both matches from the setter position.  In the back row, Kelsey Ihle (Fr., Clarence Center, N.Y.) led the Lakers with nine digs against Elms, while Ihle and van Kessel recorded 10 digs apiece versus Utica.

Oswego State, which moved to 3-9 overall, will face Utica again on Wednesday, Sep. 23 at 7 p.m. in Utica.
