Head coach Pat Hanlon's volleyball team was unable to carry the momentum it gained for the night before into the final day of the Potsdam/Victory Promotions Invitational as Oswego State dropped a pair of 3-1 matches to St. Lawrence and SUNYIT on Saturday.  The Lakers, who moved to 2-6 overall, fell to St. Lawrence by the scores of 22-25, 16-25, 25-23, 17-25 and to SUNYIT by the scores of 17-25, 25-17, 19-25, 19-25.

In the day's first match, Jess Isgro (Sr., Brockport, N.Y.) paced the offense with 11 kills followed by Katie van Kessel (Jr., Millbrook, N.Y.) and Sabrina Sutton (Fr., Fulton, N.Y.) with eight and seven, respectively, as Stephany Olsheski (So., Brockport, N.Y.) compiled 24 assists.  Defensively, Kelsey Ihle (So., Clarence Center, N.Y.) led the back row with 14 digs, while Kelsey Lewis (Jr., Apalachin, N.Y.) handled the net with three blocks.

Sutton and Isgro turned in solid performances against SUNYIT as Sutton finished with 12 kills and three blocks, while Isgro added 11 kills of her own.  Olsheski ended the match with 29 assists.

At the conclusion of the tournament, Olsheski was named the eleven-member all-tournament team.

Oswego State plays its first home match of the season on Wednesday when it hosts St. John Fisher at 7 p.m.
