Two overtime periods was not enough to determine a winner between the Oswego State men's soccer team and visiting Hamilton College as the programs ended in a 0-0 tie on a blustery Tuesday afternoon.  Neither squad was able to generate many scoring chances as the teams combined to put six shots on goal.  The Lakers moved to 1-4-1 overall, while the Continentals remain unbeaten at 2-0-2.

After a scoreless first half, the tension and physicality of the contest began to build as each team sensed that one goal would probably be the difference maker.  Hamilton's Anthony Balbo had the game's best scoring opportunity just over two minutes into the second half when his shot on the left side of the box clanged off the outside of the left goalpost.

Oswego State goalkeeper Marcus LaRobardiere recorded four saves as the Laker defense was able to withstand 11 Continental corner kicks, including one in the waning moments of regulation.  Eric Boole compiled two save for Hamilton.  The Continentals out-shot Oswego State by a margin of 20-8, but weather played a large role in sending each team's shots either high or wide.

The Lakers open conference play at Cortland Saturday with a 6 p.m. start.
