The Oswego State volleyball team rebounded from a straight-set loss to Vassar by sweeping Elms 3-0 to split the first day of action at the Union Invitational in Schenectady Friday.  The Lakers defeated Elms by the scores of 25-12, 25-17, and 25-21 after falling to Vassar, 25-18, 25-13, 25-16.  Oswego State, which improved to 3-8 overall, wrap up action at the tournament Saturday.

The Lakers struggled against Vassar as senior Jess Isgro recorded five kills with junior #Katie van Kessel also contributing four kills and ten digs.  In the second match versus Elms, Isgro headed up the offense with 12 kills, while sophomore Kelsey Ihle provided a solid effort in the backrow with eight digs and four aces  At setter, Stephany Olsheski finished the day with 26 combined assists.
