Meaghan Puff (So., Newfane, N.Y.) and Stephanie Bailey (Fr., Scotia, N.Y.) combined to record 18 kills in the middle for the Oswego State volleyball team, but it would not be enough as the Lakers lost to Hilbert College, 3-1 (20-25, 25-23, 18-25, 14-25), Wednesday in Hamburg.  Bailey reached double-figure kills for the fifth time this season as she posted 10 to go along with one solo block and three block assists. 

Puff finished the match with eight kills, three service aces, one solo block and one block assist.  From the setter position, Kara Michelsen (Fr., Lake View, N.Y.) was one dig shy of finishing with her first double-double of the season, as she tallied 22 assists and nine digs.  Defensively, the Lakers were aided by 14 digs from Kim Grice (Jr., Syracuse, N.Y.), 12 from Katie Kietzmann (So., Amsterdam, N.Y.), and 10 from Sam Manicone (Fr., Copiague, N.Y.).

Oswego State, which fell to 6-17 overall, will have some time off before it faces SUNYIT on Tuesday, Oct. 18 at 7 p.m. in Utica.
