OSWEGO, N.Y. - The Oswego State wrestling team was unable to use the home advantage in its favor, as it lost to 25th-ranked Brockport, 30-9, Wednesday night at Max Ziel Gymnasium.  The Lakers, who are 2-8 in dual meets, picked up points at 157 and 184 pounds, while the Golden Eagles remained undefeated in dual competition at 5-0.

Asher Kramer got the visitors off on the right foot by posting a 21-5 technical decision in 3:53 at 125 pounds. Brockport won the next three bouts by the scores of 5-0 at 133 pounds, 5-1 at 141 pounds, and 9-3 at 149 pounds to go ahead 14-0.

Justin Patus (So., Sachem, N.Y.) received a medical forfeit at 157 pounds, as Tom Rispoli was forced to concede shortly into the match.

At 165 pounds, Eric Anderson (Fr., Wantagh, N.Y.) took down David Kellogg with a minute remaining in the first period, but Kellogg escaped before the horn sounded to make the score 2-1. It was not until Kellogg registered a reversal early in the third period that he took a one-point lead. Kellogg later earned the riding time point for the 4-2 win.

The Golden Eagles' Clay Neivert then posted a pin at 174 pounds to make the score 23-6.

The most exciting match of the night came at 184 pounds between Oswego State's Cameron Mills (Sr., Fulton, N.Y.) and Brockport's Wheeler Brunschmid.  Mills started with an early takedown, but Brunschmid quickly escaped seconds later and posted a takedown in the waning moments of first period. However, Mills tied the score 25 seconds into the second period when he escaped. Mills started the third period on top resulting in Brunschmid escaping seconds later, but Mills recorded another takedown followed by another escape to make the score tied at 5-5. With seven seconds left, Mills posted his final takedown to seal the win.

Brockport closed out the match with a major decision at 197 pounds and a decision at 285 pounds for the final 30-9 score.
