Audio Rebroadcast

OSWEGO, N.Y. - Aggressive serving from the Oswego State volleyball team (6-6) helped to the Lakers post a 3-1 win (24-26, 25-16, 25-17, 25-19) over Utica (4-6) to reach the .500 mark on Wednesday night. Senior Chelsea Crump (Sandy Creek, N.Y.) led the way behind the service line, as she registered seven of the team's 17 service aces.

Oswego State jumped out to a 7-1 lead in the first set, prompting a Pioneer timeout. Utica chipped into the deficit until it knotted the score at 19-19 after a Laker hitting error. The teams traded points before Oswego State earned set point, but the Pioneers claimed the set by winning the next three points after a Laker miscue and a pair of Cassandra Manzer kills.
