Men's Soccer Pushes Nationally-Ranked Brockport to Tie

OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State men's soccer team forced the No. 22-ranked College at Brockport Golden Eagles to a 0-0 double overtime tie on Friday afternoon at Laker Soccer Field. Oswego is now 0-9-4 on the year and 0-4-3 in SUNYAC play while Brockport is 8-1-4, 3-3-2.
 
Zack Saccocio was the first Laker who was able to take a shot, but was wide on the attempt. The Lakers were able to get two more shots off in the first half.
 
They shot three more times in the second half. Patrick Sprague took the last shot in the game, coming at 109:53 in the second overtime.
 
Oswego's goalkeeper, Todd Lawson, out-saved Brockport's Casey Sullivan 4-2 in the game. Lawson was appearing in just his second contest for Oswego, shutting out the nationally-ranked Golden Eagles.
 
Oswego will return to action at 1 p.m. on Saturday when it takes on SUNY Geneseo.
