BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Oswego State volleyball team split a pair of games Saturday, finishing the weekend 1-2 in SUNYAC Pool Play at Buffalo State. Oswego is now 19-13 on the season and finish conference play with a 2-7 mark.
MATCH ONE RESULTS Brockport was able to jump out to an early lead Saturday, but Oswego was able to rally and win the match 3-1 (21-25, 25-23, 25-14, 26-24).
Megan Russell led the team in kills with eight,
Stephanie Bailey followed with seven and
Emma Moriarty with six. Moriarty also had one assist in the game.
Lindsey Champitto had 16 assists and two service acess while
Lauren Edwards had 11 assists and two aces.
Sabrina Sutton finished the game with five assists and one acece.
MATCH TWO RESULTS The Lakers could not take down Buffalo State in game two of the day, falling 3-0 (12-25, 16-25, 16-25).
Bailey and
Sarah Meredith each had team-high six kills. Russell and Kelsey Dillion both finished the game with three.
Edwards had nine assists in the game and Champitto had six. Champitto also had the only ace for the team in the game.
The Lakers will return home next weekend to host the Oswego State Triangular. The team will take on Keuka College at 11 a.m. on Saturday and follow that game with a 3 p.m. start against Wells College for its Senior Day.
