Oswego, N.Y. – The Oswego State men's soccer team tied the Houghton College Highlanders 1-1 in a double-overtime game Friday in the Oswego State Men's Soccer Tournament at Laker Field. Â

Ryan Tibbetts netted his first goal of the season, unassisted, with 16:59 left in the first half. Houghton's Landon Sheaffer made the game-tying goal with an assist from Cory Martin in the 77th minute.

Oswego's goalkeeper,
Jon Runge made four saves in the game, three in the second half and the final coming in the second overtime to keep the game tied. Oswego outshot Houghton 13-11, with eight coming in the second half. The Lakers defended 10 corner kicks from the Highlanders. Â

The Highlanders take on Morrisville State at 1 p.m. Saturday while the Lakers will finish the tournament against the Alfred University Saxons at 3 p.m.
