Oswego, N.Y. – The Oswego State men's soccer team made a late comeback but fell short against the Nazareth College Golden Flyers on Saturday.

Oswego's Brendan Besisner scored his first goal of the season off of an assist from
Mitch Brickman 11:42 into the game. Nazareth tied the game six minutes later with a goal from Ryan Foley.

With two minutes left in the half, Oswego goalkeeper
Jon Runge made a diving save to keep the game tied at one.

Foley added his second goal of the game at 47: 50. Nazareth scored again in the 75th minute when Tommy Rocco rebounded the ball and passed to Jimmy Gaffney who was able to shoot past Runge.

Oswego made it interesting late in the game, scoring in the 81st minute, cutting Nazareth's lead to one. The comeback was stalled there, and the Lakers fell 3-2.

Oswego will travel to Morrisville at 4 p.m. on Wednesday to take on the Morrisville State Mustangs.Â
