OSWEGO, N.Y. - The Oswego State men's swimming and diving team fell to the Rochester Institute of Technology on Wednesday evening. The team put up 78 points to RIT's 138.
In the 100 yard breaststroke, the men were able to take the top three spots.
Jacob Mullett finished first with a final time of 1:03.68. Following right behind him were
Nathan Taylor who clocked in at 1:09.25 and Gabriel Alagna at 1:19.49.
The Lakers had close finishes placing second in a couple races including the 200 yard medley relay where
Logan Killian,
Jacob Mullett,
Sanjay Raman and
Austin Nau were timed at 1:42.05, just .43 seconds behind first. Raman also captured four points when he finished second in the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 58.57. Nau took second in the 50 yard freestyle as well with a time of 22.81.
Oswego did take home the top two spots in diving as
Justin Berrios and
Ben Hale scored 215.95 and 145.95.
Men's swimming and diving will return to the pool at 1 p.m. on Saturday for a meet at Oneonta.
