ONEONTA, N.Y. – The Oswego State women's swimming and diving team fell to 0-2 on the year with a 131-82 loss at Oneonta's Chase Pe Pool.
Sabia Filiaci earned the Lakers nine points in the 100-yard butterfly with a first place finish and a time of 1:01.01.
Oswego also got first and second place in the 500-yard freestyle as
Kaylin Luhrs finished in the top spot with a time of 5:46.46. In the second slot was
Emily Burton and her 6:04.75 time, earning the Lakers four points.
The Lakers got another 1-2 finish in the 100-yard breaststroke as May Kaplan (1:20.93) took first and
Emily Karszes (1L22.07) took second.
Filiaci helped claim another event best as she teamed with
Natalie Brophy,
Emily Doe and
Kathryn McKinney to grab the win in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:49.98). Oswego's Karszes,
Allison Cohen,
Emily Burton and
Jalen Buckhout placed right behind their teammates in the event with a time of 1:55.63.
The squad will be back in action at 1 p.m. on Saturday when it hosts Wells College for the home-opener.
