OSWEGO, N.Y. – It is a great weekend to be a Laker as six teams will be competing, including men's ice hockey for a SUNYAC title and the women's ice hockey team competing for an opportunity to play for the ECAC West Championship.
The No. 3-seeded men's ice hockey team will play at No. 1 Geneseo at 7 p.m. on Saturday as the Lakers look to defend their SUNYAC title. The Lakers then proceeded to take down the Cardinals on their home ice, for the second-straight weekend, with a 2-1 win to advance them to the SUNYAC Championship Game.
Both teams are nationally-ranked, as the Lakers and Knights are actually tied at No. 10 in the latest USCHO poll while Geneseo ranks eighth with Oswego at No. 11 in this week's D3hockey.com Top 15.
