COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Oswego State women's volleyball continued play at the Colorado College Invitational, losing two matches on Saturday afternoon to Minnesota Morris and eighth-ranked Colorado College.
Stephanie Bailey was named to the All-Tournament team for her efforts in the two-day invitational.
FIRST MATCHOswego State fell 3-1, winning the third set (14-25, 22-25, 26-24, 17-25) against Minnesota Morris.
Emma Moriarty lead Oswego with 10 kills, while
Sarah Meredith and
Kelsey Dillon each chipped in with nine and seven, respectively.
Rachel Ruggaber had a solid outing with 16 digs, the most for the Laker squad.
Olivia Zimmerman and
Sarah Meredith contributed as well, producing 11 digs each.
SECOND MATCHOswego fought a tough match with host and nationally-ranked Colorado. The Lakers fell 3-0 (16-25, 20-25, 11-25) to bring their record to 1-4 on the young season.
Dillon and Bailey led Oswego with five kills each, while
Olivia Zimmerman had an all-around good game, collecting a team-high 12 assists along with seven digs.
Oswego will look to get back into the win column next Friday, as it travels to Rochester, N.Y. for the four-match University of Rochester Invitational.
