FULL RESULTSBUFFALO N.Y. – The Oswego State women's swimming and diving team took down Buffalo State
154-107 this Saturday afternoon. The win gives the team a 2-5 record on the season.
Oswego earned this win as a team, with a plethora of Lakers earning points on the day. Freshman
Emily Burton finished first in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 2:07.68 giving the Lakers nine points. The Lakers dominated the 100 yard backstroke with
Natalie Brophy,
Emily Doe and
Jalen Buckhout taking first, second and third, respectively. Brophy nabbed another nine points as she took first in the 200 yard backstroke.
Kathryn McKinney pitched in with first place finish in the 50 yard freestyle. Also ending with first place finishes were
Sabia Filiaci in the 100 yard freestyle and
Maya Kaplan in the 100 yard breaststoke.
In the diving aspect of the competition, McKinney was able to grab another first place finish at the 1 meter mark scoring a 160.55 and taking home nine points.
Women's swimming and diving will return to the pool at 4 p.m. on Wednesday as they host Cortland at the Laker Pool.
