RESULTSOSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State women's swimming and diving team fell 146-85 to Cortland on Wednesday night at Laker Pool. Oswego's loss drops the team's mark to 2-6 on the year.
Sabia Filiaci collected a pair of wins over Cortland in the meet, tallying up 18 points towards the Lakers' team score. The senior claimed the 100-yard butterfly with a finals time of 59.73, more than a second faster than the second-place finisher. Earlier in the meet, Filiaci secured the 50-yard freestyle. In that event, the Schenectady native reached the wall in 26.33, edging out a group of six that all finished with 1.29 of each other.
Also picking up multiple points for the Lakers were
Emily Burton,
Natalie Brophy and
Emily Doe. Burton grabbed four points in both the 1000- and 500-yard freestyles while Brophy tallied four in the 100-yard backstroke and another three in the 200-yard IM. Doe picked up a total of six points combined between the 100- and 50-yard freestyles.
Brophy, Filiaci, and Doe later teamed with
Emily Karszes to obtain four points in the 200-yard medley relay.
Oswego will remain at Laker Pool for its next meet when Geneseo comes to the facility at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
