OSWEGO, N.Y. – Oswego is set to host two games and a cross-country meet this weekend, as a total of six Laker teams will be in action.

Men's and women's cross country will host eleven teams for the Oswego State Invitational which begins at Saturday morning. The women's race will begin at 10:30 a.m., while the men's race is set to start at 11:30 a.m. Oswego is fresh off a good outing at SUNY Poly Wildcat Invitational, where the men's squad took first and the women's third.

Come support both teams as the races will comense at Glimmer Glass Field.(formerly Hidden Fields).

The women's soccer team will be on the road this weekend as it travels to Fredonia to partake in the Fredonia Tournament. The squad's first contest will be at 1 p.m. on Friday when it takes on Grove City College. The Lakers take the field again at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday for a faceoff with the Penn State Behrend Lions.

For Saturday's matchup there will be an admission fee that will be donated towards Roswell Cancer Institute's Team Cure, which has supplied organizers with pamphlets and other literature to help promote cancer awareness. Admission will be as follows: $5 for adults, $3 for children, and $1 for students showing a valid identification card.

The volleyball team looks to continue its hot streak as it travels to the University of Rochester Tournament this weekend for a two-day, four-game outing. At 6 p.m. on Friday the team starts with matchup against the Hamilton College Continentals, followed by an 8 p.m. bout with the Highlanders from Houghton College. At 11 a.m. on Saturday morning, the squad will have a rematch with St. John Fisher College, which they beat 3-2 earlier in the week. The Lakers final contest of the weekend will be against host University of Rochester at 1 p.m. on Saturday.

Women's tennis will play two matches this weekend, with the first one set to begin at 4 p.m. on Friday in Cortland. The squad will then play host to the Daemen College Wildcats at 12 p.m. on Saturday.

Be sure to come out and support the tennis team at the Romney Outdoor Tennis Courts on Saturday.

The men's soccer team will close out the action packed weekend when it hosts a night game against Utica College that is set to kick off at 7 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams played a double-overtime game last season that resulted in a 0-0 tie.
