RESULTSCORTLAND, N.Y. – The Oswego State women's swimming and diving teams fell 138.5-100.5 to Cortland on the road Wednesday afternoon. The loss snaps a six-game win streak for the Lakers, setting their dual meet record to 6-2 on the year.
Oswego started strong getting a quick 11 points from the 200-yard medley relay team made up of
Natalie Brophy,
Megan Kowalski,
Riley Synan and
Emily Doe. The squad finished the race in 1:57.00, a full second faster than the second place team.
Riley Synan would go on to collect another victory in the 200-yard butterfly.
The Lakers seemed to control the freestyle events as Doe picked up two more first-place finishes in the 50-yard and 100-yard and
Emily Burton in the 200-yard. Burton almost took the 500-yard free as well, placing second by just five seconds.
Women's swimming and diving will hop back in the pool at 1 p.m. on Saturday as the team heads to Geneseo to take on the Knights.
