The first set was hotly contested by both teams with the biggest lead getting to three points on two separate occasions, at 6-3 and 22-19 with Oswego leading both times. Potsdam would grab the lead at 24-23 on two Laker attack errors and a kill by Potsdam senior Rachel Topf. Fie would tie it up at twenty-four before Topf would score again and Potsdam would finish it with a double block.
Oswego would come out strong in the second with a 4-0 lead on a pair of Fie kills and a block that she assisted on with sophomore
Shauna O'Flaherty. Oswego would extend their lead to 19-11 with the help of four kills from junior
Alison Sullivan, and cruise to a comfortable win in the second set.
The third set was similar to the first as the teams traded points until senior
Isabella Winklestine's five-point service run pushed the lead to 20-15. Potsdam would eventually sideout and then close the gap to 20-19 before a 5-2 run would put the set away for Oswego.
Potsdam would start the fourth on a 4-0 run before kills from O'Flaherty and Sullivan would right the ship for the Lakers. The lead would grow to five for the Bears before sophomore
Sarah Braddon would go on a seven-point run to give the Lakers a 17-13 lead that the hosts would not relinquish.Â
Fie (15), Sullivan (14), and O'Flaherty (10) all hit double digits in kills while Sullivan's five blocks were a match high. Junior
