Keuka Park, N.Y. — The Oswego State women's volleyball team defeated Keuka 3-2 in a back and forth clash on Wednesday. With the victory, the Lakers improve to 7-9 on the season while the Wolves fall to 3-10. Set scores were 21-25, 25-23, 21-25, 25-20 and 15-12.
Alison Berger was crucial to the Lakers' win. The junior's 23 assists, which led the team, were a new career high for her. Berger notched an assist on Oswego's game-winning point, which came on a kill by Lauren Fie.
Shauna O'Flaherty led the way with nine kills for the Lakers. The sophomore's seventh kill of the night sealed the fourth set victory for Oswego. O'Flaherty also had the second-highest number of digs on the team, with 12, trailing only Rina Qelaj (16).
The Lakers will be back in action on Tuesday when they travel to Potsdam, N.Y. to face Clarkson before returning to Oswego for SUNYAC pool play.
