ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Oswego State men's tennis team lost 9-0 in its second match of the spring at Rochester Institute of Technology – who hosted at Midtown Athletic Club on Saturday afternoon. RIT improves to 4-6 on the year while the Lakers drop to .500 (2-2).
Jon Matros and
Nick Retzkin had the best chance for Oswego on the day at first doubles. The pair racked up four points before bowing out 8-4 to the Tigers. Neither of the other Laker doubles were able to claim a point against their RIT counterparts.
On the single circuit, Matros was able to take a game in each set in the first slot while
Brian Emigholz and
Justin Scuderi each won three games in the first set at fifth and sixth, respectively.
Jimmy Terzian played at the third position and was able to take two points in the first set and one in the final set.
