OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State men's tennis team dropped a 6-3 match to St. John Fisher College inside Romney Field House on Friday evening. With the loss, the Lakers fall to 3-5 on the year while the Cardinals move to 3-8.

Oswego started with one win in the doubles side of things, coming in the second slot. Chris Gayvert and Brian Emigholz paired for an 8-5 victory over Jon Harper and Jordan O'Connell.

The duo did not wane on the singles circuit, as each earned the other two Laker points on the day. Gayvert played at third singles, cruising to a 6-0, 6-3 triumph over Dustin McCullough. Emigholz filled in the final spot of one-on-ones, battling to a tough 7-6 victory in the first set with a 9-7 tiebreaker. The junior continued his momentum into the second set, easily capturing the win with a 6-2 final set.

Oswego will take the weekend off before returning to the courts at 4 p.m. on Monday when it visits Oneonta.
