Christian Gramuglia won three bouts to take home the title at 165 in helping Oswego to eighth place out of fourteen teams at the Ithaca College Invitational. Gramuglia defeated teammate
Charlie Grygas for the championship after Grygas took down the top-seeded wrestler to start the day.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Gramuglia started the day with a 3-2 decision over third-ranked Cole Karam of NYU and then a 9-3 decision over Jeff Suschana of Western New England.
- In the final, it was a fall at 2:26 of the first that gave Oswego their only champion for the event.
- Grygas' run was no less impressive, however, as he started the day by taking down top seeded Kaidon Winters of RIT by an 8-4 decision.
- Winters finished fifth in the country at the NCAA Championships last season, including a perfect 14-0 in dual matchups.
- Grygas then earned a fall (3:25) in the semifinal against Reese Millington of Castleton.
- At 174, fifth-seeded Isaac Mathews advanced to the semis by way of a medical forfeit before dropping a 6-5 decision to top seed Joe Lupisella of RIT.
- Mathews would end up sixth after losing a close 8-6 decision and suffering a fall (8:30) in his final match.
- Teammate Aidan Mathews began the day with a fall (2:26) to get to the semifinal but would end up finishing in sixth in his weight class.
- Freshman My'kle Thomas continued his strong showing in bouncing back from a major decision to record a fall (4:01) in his next match to finish in the top eight.
