HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. – The Oswego State men's tennis team fell to .500 on its final day of a spring break trip to Spring TennisFest in Hilton Head Island, S.C with a loss to Edgewood College on Wednesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• At third singles, Brian Emigholz earned a convincing victory over the Eagles' Jackson Venske. The senior doubled up his counterpart 6-3 in the first set before cruising to a 6-1 win in the decisive set.
• Emigholz's classmate Chris Gayvert battled to a tight loss at second singles. Gayvert dropped the first set 6-3 but was able to win the second by a break (6-4). In the tiebreak, the Fairport, N.Y. native narrowly lost 10-5.
• Fellow senior Justin Scuderi fought tough in the fourth slot but eventually fell 6-3, 6-4.
• Oswego's three other team points were earned via forfeit by Curtis Farmer (fifth singles), Luis Liriano (sixth singles), Daniel Maslowski and Alex Mintz (third doubles).
