ELMIRA, N.Y. – The Oswego State men's tennis team opened the spring portion of its slate with a victory at Elmira College on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Oswego jumped out to a comfortable 3-0 lead in the match by winning all three doubles competitions to start the day.
- Daniel Maslowski and Seth Stopler were the first to enter the win column at third singles with a shutout of their counterparts.
- First doubles partners Brian Emigholz and Anthony Salerno came into pay dirt next with a convincing 8-1 triumph.
- In the second doubles slot, Chris Gayvert and Alex Mintz combined to battle past their opponents, 8-5.
- Gayvert went on to win second singles for the Lakers' fourth team point and Salerno notched the game-winning point at fourth singles.
- The last match to wrap on the afternoon was fifth singles, as Mintz was able to move easily past his Soaring Eagle opponent, 6-0, 6-1.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Lakers will head to Hilton Head, S.C. for a trio of spring break games, beginning with Stevenson University on Tuesday, March 19.
