CLINTON, N.Y. – The Oswego State men's soccer team lost a nonconference contest at Hamilton College on Tuesday afternoon. Oswego was able to have more on-goal attempts than the Continentals but were unable to cash in those opportunities.
THE BASICS
- Result: Hamilton 2, Oswego 0
- Location: Love Field – Clinton, N.Y.
- Records: Hamilton 1-0-0 | Oswego 1-1-0
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Laker defense did not allow a single on-goal attempt in the first half, giving way to a scoreless game heading into half time.
- Hamilton put two shots on-net in the first 30 seconds of the second stanza, scoring on the latter at 45:29.
- Slightly less than eight minutes later, Laker goalie Brian Terra made a save but the shooter rebounded the ball, put another shot on that went for Hamilton's second and final score of the game.
- Five of Oswego's seven on-goal chances came in the final 25 minutes, including four from the 82nd minute.
- Despite peppering the Continental goalie, a pair of opportunities from Steven Rojas and single attempts from Anthony Paris, Omar Espinoza and Caleb Asamoah went for naught.
- Paris and Rojas had the other two Laker on-goal shots.
- Terra made four saves in the loss.
- Each team was awarded two corner kicks, with both of Oswego's coming in the second half.
