Christian Gramuglia and Freshman
Charlie Grygas both finished third in their respective weight classes to punch their tickets to the NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships in Cedar Rapids, Iowa from March 13-14. This will be the first trip to the Championships for both wrestlers.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Gramuglia started the day in the Championship Semifinal, but suffered a 7-4 decision setback.
- In the Consolation Semifinal, he won a 9-8 decision over Brian Schneider of Elizabethtown.
- It was a rematch from yesterday as Gramuglia drew Ben Bivar of Cortland in the Consolation Final and defeated him by a 7-5 decision to earn the third and final bid in the 157 weight class to Nationals.
- Grygas took a similar path to his bid to Nationals as he lost a 6-0 decision to top seed Dempsey King of RIT in the Championship Semifinal to start the day.
- King is ranked No. 5 nationally by the National Wrestling Coaches Association in the latest polls for 165.
- After an 8-4 decision win against Kieren Duggan of Merchant Marine in the Consolation Semifinal, Grygas needed extra time to win a 6-4 sudden victory over Dylan Schwartz of Muhlenberg to advance to Nationals.
- Senior William Hardin II finished in fifth at 133 with an 8-5 decision to start the day but a 9-5 decision loss in the Consolation Semifinal. He took fifth by way of a medical forfeit.
- At 197, junior Aidan Mathews lost a close 6-4 decision and then won by fall (3:45) to earn seventh in his weight class.
WHAT'S NEXT
Gramuglia and Grygas will head to Iowa to compete in the National Championship Tournament on March 13 & 14.
