OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State men's soccer team finished as the runner-up in the 2021 State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Championship with a 6-0 setback to nationally fifth-ranked Cortland on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first half stats were close with Cortland holding a 5-3 edge in shots while Oswego had three corners to one for the Red Dragons.
- Cortland opened the scoring at 12:24 when they reached a loose ball in the box and scored past the Laker defense.
- They doubled the advantage 12 minutes later on a header inside the left post.
- Much like the opening half, Oswego led in corners with four in the second half to three for Cortland.
- It was a 14-3 edge in shots during the final 45 minutes for the Red Dragons as they scored goals at 52:21, 59:08, 72:15 and 89:20 to clinch the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Championships.
- Senior Ryan Young and sophomore Kyle Gehnrich led Oswego with two shots each.
- Goalkeeper Brian Terra had four saves in net for the Lakers.
- Caleb Munski, Kieran Gilroy and HaJoon Lee all earned All-Tournament honors at the conclusion of the game.
