OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State golf team is currently sitting in second place and sixth place out of nine squads after the opening day of the 23^rd Annual Oswego State Invitational.  Freshman Jake Owens is one stroke back on the individual leaderboard after shooting an opening round 75 (+4).

HOW IT HAPPENED

• On Oswego's top squad, senior Joe Marszalek posted a 79 to sit in a tie for ninth.
• Ryan Fecco was a stroke back with an 80 and Tony Robinson and Max Mastrogiacomo both shots 82's.
• For Oswego's second squad, freshman Tyler Donohue posted an 81 and classmate Carter McWilliams shot an 83.
• Oliver Wolland (85) and Joseph Pacheco III (86) rounded out the team's scoring.

WHAT'S NEXT
The Lakers return to the course to see if they can run down Hamilton (308, +24) tomorrow with tee times set for 11 a.m. at Oswego's Country Club.
