OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State women's swimming & diving team won 13 of 16 events in running away with a 172-95 win and the men's program used their depth to win 160-125 on Senior Day for the Lakers. Four-event winners for Oswego included seniors

Grace Parente, junior
Twyla Nastasia and freshman
Simon Daw.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Maring won three individual events (50-yard freestyle, 100-yard freestyle, 200-yard IM) and helped the 200-yard medley relay team to the top spot.
- Parente was involved in both winning relays (200-yard medley and 200-yard freestyle) while winning the 200-yard butterfly and 500-yard freestyle.
- Nastasia won both backstroke events (100- and 200-yard), the 1,000-yard freestyle and was in the winning 200-yard freestyle relay team.
- Senior Eva Potvin was a three-time winner (100-yard breaststroke, 200-yard breaststroke and 200-yard medley relay).
- In relay events, senior Allegra Neglia swam the opener on both winning squads for Oswego while freshman Alexia Lemus won the 200-yard freestyle and helped the 200-yard freestyle relay team's win.
- Senior Vanessa Moss added team points in the 500-yard freestyle and the 1,000-yard freestyle events.
- On the diving boards, seniors Laura Bornheimer and Jess Azoulay combined for 14 teams points.
- Daw led the men with wins in the 100-yard butterfly, 100-yard freestyle, 100-yard backstroke and anchoring the 200-yard medley relay.
- Junior Zachary Brown won the 200-yard IM and 200-yard breastroke individually and took part in the winning 200-yard medley relay.
- Matthew Seyse was a two-event winner with top honors in the 50-yard freestyle and swimming on the 200-yard freestyle relay team.
- Senior Matt Rolph scored 12 points individually and then helped the 200-yard freestyle relay team to first.
- Fellow senior Nate Einstein scored in the 200-yard freestyle (4), 200-yard IM (3) and 200-yard medley relay (2)
- Seniors Sebastian Lasher, Eric Dzierzgowski and Pete Kovalovsky combined for 21 team points for the Lakers.
- Vincent Mullen helped the Lakers to a win in the 200-yard freestyle relay while adding six team points in individual events.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Lakers will return to the pool when they compete at the SUNYAC Championships from February 16-19 at the Burt Flickinger Aquatic Center at Erie Community College (ECC) in Buffalo, NY.
