OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State Baseball team with the sweep of Fredonia this weekend has earned the #1 seed in the upcoming SUNYAC Baseball Championship. Oswego State will host the SUNYAC Baseball Championship this upcoming week from Thursday, May 12th through Saturday, May 14th. 

 

The Lakers are your SUNYAC Regular Season Champions!!!! With a conference record of 16-2 and an overall record of 28-8 the Lakers took sole first place in the conference and will host the SUNYAC tournament.

The stage is set for the SUNYAC Baseball Championship. The teams earning playoff berths are Oswego State at the #1 seed, the Cortland Red Dragons with the #2 seed, the Brockport Golden Eagles as the #3 seed and for the first time in 10 years the Plattsburgh Cardinals will compete in the championship tournament as the #4 seed. 

Online ticket sales will be available at the link below starting at 3pm on Monday, May 9th.

Fans are encouraged to buy tickets online ahead of the event and have proof of sale at the field.

This is only the second time in Oswego State Baseball's history that the Lakers are set to host, in 2018 the Lakers took the regular season title, unfortunately the SUNYAC tournament was rained out. 

The tournament is a four team, double-elimination tournament. The set schedule is as follows: 

Thursday 12pm #1 Oswego State vs. #4 Plattsburgh State 

Thursday 3:30 #2 SUNY Cortland vs. #3 SUNY Brockport

Friday and Saturday games will depend on the results of game one and two on Thursday. 

Friday and Saturday games will be updated as the information becomes available.
