Men's Ice Hockey Falls to Elmira

ELMIRA, N.Y. - Oswego State Men's Ice Hockey traveled to Elmira taking on the Soaring Eagles in their second regular season game of the year. The Lakers fell to the Soaring Eagles 3-7 moving them to 1-1-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
 
  • Elmira netted an early goal at 2:53 by Cole Tucker, assisted by Tyler Schwindt
  • Jared Smith scored Elmira's second goal of the period at 4:44 on an assist by Ryan Reifler
  • The Lakers Shane Bull netted Oswego's first goal at 9:42, assisted by Connor Sleeth.
  • Elmira answered quickly with their third goal of the period netted by Nathan Young, assisted by Shane Haviland
  • Janis Vizbelis scored the Soaring Eagles fourth goal of the period in the 18th minute on an assist by Nicholas Domitrovic.
  • Elmira leds Oswego 4-1 after heading into the first intermission.
  • First period comparisons are Oswego shots 10-4, power play opps 1-1 and face offs won/attempt were 8-18
