HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first period featured a flurry of goals started off by Tristan Francis 4:46 into the game.
- Fredonia would come back to even the scoreline at 7:20 of the first period with a goal by Johnny Malandruccolo.
- Oswego answered 42 seconds later with a go-ahead goal by Nolan Barrett.
- With just 2 minutes remaining in the 1st, Nolan Barrett was just able to squeak the puck past the Fredonia goalie to put the Lakers up 3-1 heading into the intermission.
- The second period did not see any action on the scoresheet as the Lakers locked down defensively to keep the scoreline 3-1 through two periods.
- Much of the 3rd period remained a defensive battle as the Lakers fought to maintain their two-goal lead.
- With 2:14 remaining in the 3rd period, Tyler Flack was hooked from behind on a breakaway towards an empty Fredonia net and the goal was given to give the Lakers a 4-1 lead and victory.
