ITHACA, N.Y. – The Lakers finished in 5th place out of 12 teams as their season opened over the weekend at the Ithaca College Invitational.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Tyler Rossini finished 5th in the 149 weight class when he defeated Luke Temple of Springfield College.
- At the 174 class, Charlie Grygas ended up winning his final bout of the weekend by decision to finish 3rd.
- Bryce Smith would also notch a 5th place finish in the 184 weight class with a win over New England College's Beau Dillon.
- Anthony Cascen had the best finish of the weekend for the Lakers with a 2nd place finish in the 197 class.
- Overall, the Lakers would accumulate 88 team points on the weekend finishing in 5th place out of the 12 teams.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Lakers will head to Brockport on Saturday, November 11th to compete in the SUNY Brockport Quad Meet where they will take on Penn College, Niagara County Community College, and SUNY Brockport.
