ONEONTA, N.Y. – The Lakers competed on both days of the Track and Field SUNYAC Championships, finishing with 11 points for both the Men's and Women's events. The championships produced a flurry of personal records over the two days of competition.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Day One

Faith Coyle finished fourth in the first round of the Women's 800 meter race with a time of 2:17.56, a personal record that put her firmly in the mix of the best in the SUNYAC.

Aidan Harrington finished seventh in the first round of the Men's 100 meter dash with a time of 11.10, less than 0.3 off the winner. Dan Mars finished 15th after an 11.37 time.

Mars finished 14th in the first round of the Men's 200 meter dash after running a time of 22.81, a personal record.

Nathan Couse ran the 10,000 meter finals in 34:16.82, finishing 15th.

Harrington and Chris Dorney finished sixth and seventh in the first round of the Men's 400 meter hurdles. Harrington ran a 56.78 and Dorney was less than a second behind with a 57.64. The 57.64 was a personal record for Dorney.
Day Two

Faith Coyle secured four points for Oswego with a fifth place finish in the Women's 800 meter race, running a time of 2:21.04. Coyle and Ellie Decker finished eighth and ninth in the Women's 5000 meter race, Coyle with a time of 19:22.91 and Decker close behind with a 19:27.41.

Abigail Conpropst finished 17th in the Women's Discus Throw finals with a distance of 29.64 meters. This throw was a personal record for her.

Rhiannon Butchko took home third place in the Women's high jump, leaping a height of 1.62 meters in three attempts, which was a personal record. This placing gives her third team all conference!

Aidan Harrington finished eighth in the Men's 100 meter dash, running a faster time than Friday (11.07). This was a personal record for him.

Chris Dorney and Harrington finished seventh and eighth in the finals of the Men's 400 meter hurdles. Dorney ran a 58.65 and Harrington was less than a half-second behind with a 59.00.

Michael Saavedra earned three points after throwing the shot put 13.31 meters, good enough to put him sixth with a personal record.

The team of Alex Reyes, Daniel Mars, Harrington, and Matthew Broadnax finished fifth in the Men's 4x100 meter relay with a time of 43.26, less than two seconds off of first place.
WHAT'S NEXT
The qualifying members will partake in the AARTFC Regionals Wednesday May 17th adn 18th at Susquehanna University.
