OSWEGO, NY – At the SUNYAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships, athletes who finish in the top three of an event earn all-conference honors. The competition took place on Friday May 2^nd and Saturday May 3^rd in Cortland, NY.

Elena Gaffney finished second in the women's 1500m with a time of 4:52.01 earning her second team all-conference. Gaffney ran the 1500m, 800m, 5000m, and the mile this season for the Lakers. Her top 5 finishes started at the Houghton December Classic and continued at the RIT January Meet, RIT Invitational, SUNYAC Indoor Championships, and the Cortland Classic. At the Utica Almost Spring Invite, she finished first in the women's 5000m with a time of 18:58.86. As a freshman, this is Elenas first time being recognized by the conference.

Jeffery Simmons finished second in the men's 800m with a time of 1:55.80 earning himself a spot on second team all-conference. This season, Simmons took part in the mile, 4x400, 4x800, 800m, DMR, 400m, and 1500m. He earned top 5 finishes at the RIT Invitational, the SUNYAC Indoor Championships, the Utica Almost Spring Invite, the Red Dragon Open, and the Cortland Classic. As a freshman, this is Jefferys first time earning an all-conference award.

Rhiannon Butchko earned third team all-conference after finishing third in the high jump with a score of 1.57. This season she once again stood out as a high jumper with top 5 finishes at SUNYAC Championships, the Cortland Classic, The Red Dragon Open, The Utica Almost Spring Invite, and the SUNYAC Indoor Championships. Rhiannon also ran in the 4x100, 4x400, and 4x800 for the Lakers this season. Butchko previously earned third team all-conference in 2023 and second team all-conference in 2024.

Hannah Reichard finished third in the women's 800m with a time of 2:23.14 earning her third team all-conference. For the Lakers this season, Hannah ran the DMR, 1500m, 800m, 3000m, and 4x400. She recorded top 5 finishes at the Cortland Red Dragon Open, The Cortland Classic, and The Cardinal Classic. In 2024, Reichard earned second third team all-conference in the SUNYAC as well.
