How It Happened
The Lakers found early success on the track in relay action, as the women's 4x100 "A" team of Sabrina Schmitt, Daiya Kowalski, Escalin Santos, and Teagan Roy sprinted to a third-place finish in 51.95. Oswego's second squad placed fourth in 56.98.

On the men's side, Evan Young turned in a breakthrough performance in the 3000m steeplechase, earning his first collegiate victory while setting a personal best time of 10:57.33.

Cory Morton paced the Lakers in multiple events, placing sixth in the 110m hurdles (16.57) before soaring to a first-place finish in the triple jump with a mark of 13.57 meters. Morton later helped guide the men's 4x400 relay team—alongside Tom Mahunik, Jeffery Simmons, and Soren Wolford—to a third-place finish in 3:52.77.

Wolford added a strong showing in the sprints, finishing ninth in the 100m (11.47) and fifth in the 200m (22.73), while Mahunik led Oswego in the 400m with a seventh-place time of 53.97.

Distance events proved to be a major strength for the Lakers. Hannah Reichard delivered a standout day, capturing victories in both the 800m (2:16.19), while Elena Gaffney took home first in the women's 5000m (18:19.55), with both performances meeting regional qualifying standards. She was joined in the 5000m by Kyra Pellegrino, who placed third with her own regional qualifier in 18:26.53.

On the men's side of the 5000m, Nehemiah Daniel (15:52.92) and Noah Melita (15:54.19) placed sixth and seventh, respectively, in a tightly contested race.

In the middle-distance events, Jeffery Simmons led the men in the 800m with an 11th-place finish (2:03.18), while Miles Thompson contributed in both the 1500m (4:38.01) and 800m (2:12.98). For the women, Julay Mustafa and Grace Stevens competed in both the 1500m and 800m, gaining valuable experience.

The women's 4x400 relay team of Reichard, Kowalski, Schmitt, and Angelina Buttigieg closed out the meet with a fourth-place finish in 4:28.86.

In the field events, Oswego saw solid contributions across the board. Teagan Roy placed fifth in the triple jump (9.81m), while Eric Gordon-Wheeler led the men's throws group with top-10 finishes in the discus (11th, 30.88m), hammer (9th, 43.45m), and shot put (9th, 10.90m).
