CORTLAND, NY – On Wednesday afternoon, SUNY Oswego men's (1-3-1) and women's (2-3) swimming and diving traveled to SUNY Cortland for a SUNYAC mid-week meet. The Red Dragons took down the SUNY Oswego men 181-87 and the women 164-106.
Some of the highlights for the Lakers this afternoon started in the men's 100-yard backstroke when Zach Brown came in first place with a time of 56.37. The Lakers took first place once again in the women's 100-yard freestyle thanks to
Jayna Laferriere with a time of 57.09. That was followed by Izzy Dague finishing first in the women's 200-yard backstroke (2:20.74). In the women's 200-yard breaststroke,
Emily Lotito finished first for SUNY Oswego with a time of 2:39.33. Finally, SUNY Oswego took first place in the men's 200-yard IM with Jake Sarnowski (2:10.45) as well as second place with
Nathan Ratta Vine (2:11.15).
The Lakers will have a quick turn around this week with Roberts Wesleyan and Hobart William Smith both coming to town for a tri-meet this Saturday.
