OSWEGO, NY – Congratulations to Cal Schell of the SUNY Oswego men's hockey team on being named the SUNYAC men's hockey goaltender of the week.

Schell anchored the Laker's defense to two wins over the weekend, one of them being a shutout. In Friday's 5-0 win against Fredonia, he saved 26 shots. Then, in Saturday's 5-1 win against Buffalo St., he added another 30 saves to his season totals. In his two-game stretch, Schell totaled 56 saves with a save percentage of 98.2.

The Excellent work by Schell between the pipes has helped the Lakers extend their win streak to three games in a row. They are currently second in the SUNYAC standings with a 10-6-1 overall record and 8-2 conference record.

Up next, the Lakers will host Anna Maria College on Friday at the Deborah F. Stanley Arena Starting at 7:00 PM.
