OSWEGO, NY- The Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving teams hosted the Potsdam Bears
Saturday afternoon. Both teams ended the day with wins, and the Lakers took first place in 21 of 32
events.

HOW IT HAPPENED
For the first event of the meet, the men's team of
Matthew Dambra,
Zachary Brown,
Van Wilton and
Vincent Mullen placed first in the 200 Medley Relay with a time of 1:41.01. The women's team of
Isabelle Dague,
Emily Lotito,
Kaitlin Wheeler and
Jayna Laferriere took the top spot with a finishing
time of 2:02.45.

Dambra paved the way for the Lakers by taking all three of his individual events for the day. He
claimed wins in the 100 and 200 Backstroke with times of 55.16 and 2:04.40 and the 200 Individual
Medley in 2:06.27.

Two Lakers were double event winners in their respective stroke events.
Fion Hon took both backstroke events with times of 1:09.00 and 2:26.89.
Brown was victorious in the 100 (59.71) and 200 (2:15.89) Breaststroke.

Nine swimmers took home one individual win.
Â
Jake Sarnowski took first place in the 1650 freestyle with a time of 18:24.73 and Dague also took
home a win for the women finishing in 19:22.64.
Placing first in the 200 Freestyle was Laferriere who finished in 2:02.88.

Claiming the 100 Breaststroke was Lotito who finished in 1:14.14.

Mullen took the 50 Freestyle in 23.12 and Lemus placed first for the women in 26.36.

The 100 Freestyle saw
McKenna Briggs finish in 58.27 for the top spot.

Aurora Jarvie took home the 200 Breaststroke with a time of 2:46.09.

Abigail Hinman was victorious in the 100 Butterfly finishing in 1:08.10.

Serena Bardin took first place in One Meter Diving with a final score of 206.33.

The meet concluded with wins in the 200 Freestyle Relay. Finishing in 1:31.64 for the men was
Brown, Mullen,
Duncan Smith and
Ryan Murphy. For the women the team of Laferriere, Lemus,
Briggs and Dague took the top spot in 1:47.86.

WHAT'S NEXT
Oswego State Swimming and Diving will host Monroe Community College for their senior meet on
February 3 at 1 p.m. This will also be their last dual meet of the season before the SUNYAC
Championships.
