OSWEGO, NY – The Oswego State men's golf team took part in the Empire 8 Fall Championships this weekend at the Lakeshore yacht and Country Club in Cicero, NY.

St. John Fisher University holds the team lead after the first two rounds of the 2024-25 Empire 8 Fall Men's Golf Championship, held at Lakeshore Yacht and Country Club in Cicero, NY on Sunday, Oct. 6 and Monday, Oct. 7. The Cardinals hold a 25-stroke lead over Nazareth University, while Utica University is third overall.
This weekend marked the first half of the 2024-25 championship, with the 36-hole spring portion of the E8 Championship scheduled for April 2025. The team with the lowest score at the conclusion of the four rounds will be crowned league champion.

The 2024-25 Empire 8 Champion receives an automatic berth into the 2025 NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championship, set for May 20-23 at Midvale Country Club in Penfield, NY, hosted by St. John Fisher.
