BROCKPORT, NY. - The SUNY Oswego Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving teams traveled to Brockport, NY this morning to take on the Brockport Golden Eagles.

Men's Meet:
Â
The Oswego State Men's team took an early lead during the 200 Yard Medley Relay with their A Relay of
Mitchell Stevens,
Nathan Ratta Vine, Jake Sarnowski, and
Duncan Smith finishing 1st with a time of 1:41:64.
Â
The Lakers maintained their lead in the next event, as Sam Waddell, Jake Sarnowski, and
Ryan Liedka finished 2nd, 3rd, and 4th respectively in the 1000 Yard Freestyle.
Â
The Golden Eagles closed in on the Lakers a bit during the 200 Free, but
Nathan Ratta Vine and Antonio Media finished 2nd and 4th, earning some points for Oswego.
Â
Ryan Murphy scored the lone point for Oswego in the 50 Yard Backstroke, finishing in 4th.
Â
Manav Sindhi and Will Sterling finished 1st and 2nd in the 50 Breast stroke, building up the Lakers' lead once again.

Jayden Hernandez, and
Van Wilton finished 2nd, 3rd, and 4th in the 100 Yard Fly. Keeping Oswego's lead intact.

Duncan Smith and Sam Waddel finished 1st and 2nd in the 50 Freestyle, Giving the Lakers an even bigger lead.

Anthony Serrano finished second in 3-Meter Diving, with a score of 143.95.

Antonio Medina finished 2nd, 3rd, and 4th respectively, in the 100 Yard Free.

Jayden Hernandez won the 100 Yard Backstroke with a time of 58.13.

Nathan Ratta Vine took 1st place in the 100 Yard Breast, with a time of 1:03.48, and
Manav Sindhi finished right behind him in 2nd at 1:04.99.

Ryan Murphy and Jake Sarnowski finished 2nd and 3rd in the 500 Yard Freestyle, as Brockport inched closer to tying things up.

Mitchell Stevens and
Jayden Hernandez finished 2nd and 3rd in the 50 Yard Fly, and taking Brockport's deficit down to just 3 points heading into the final 2 events.

In 1-Meter Diving,
Daniel Hodge finished second with a score of 156.35, and
Anthony Serrano finished 3rd with a score of 136.15.

Nathan Ratta Vine all but secured the victory for the Lakers in the 100 Yard IM, winning it by 2 tenths of a second with a time of 56.47.

The Lakers Finished in 2nd and 4th in the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay, ending the meet with a final score of 147-144.

Women's Meet:

The Women's Team kicked things off in the 200 Yard Medley Relay, finishing 2nd and 4th.
Â
Emily Seldin, Izzy Dague, and Bella McDonald swept the 1000 Yard Freestyle, finishing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd respectively.

Jayna LaFerriere finished 2nd in the 200 Free, with
Emily Seldin and Bella McDonald finishing 3rd and 4th, earning a decent share of the points for the event.

Izzy Dague took 2nd in the 50 Yard Backstroke, but it wasn't enough as the Eagles jumped ahead.

Aurora Jarvie and
Emily Lotito finished 2nd and 3rd in the 50 Yard Breaststroke, keeping Brockport's lead as small as possible.

Katherine Burch and
Anna Baker finished 2nd and 3rd in the 100 Yard Fly, but Brockport finished 1st and 4th, extending their lead.

Jayna Laferriere and
McKenna Briggs finished 2nd and 3rd in both the 50 Yard Free as well and the 100 Yard Free, with Brockport once again extending their lead.

Serena Bardin finished 2nd in both 1-Meter and 3-Meter diving, boasting scores of 189.65 and 207.70 respectively.

Fion Hon, and
Maura Waite came 2nd, 3rd, and 4th in the 100 Yard Backstroke, fighting back and earning some points.

Emily Lotito finished 1st in the 100 Yard Breaststroke, with a time of 1:14:43.
Aurora Jarvie, finished 4th, earning the team one point.

Bella McDonald, and
Emily Seldin boasted 1st and 2nd place in the 500 Yard Freestyle, climbing back towards Brockport in points.

Katherine Burch took 2nd and
Anna Baker came 4th in both the 50 Yard Butterfly, and the 100 Yard IM.
Â
The Women's team finished 2nd and 4th in the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay, falling short to the Golden Eagles for their first loss of the season by a score of 128-168.

Â
The Oswego State Lakers take a well deserved break for the Holidays, and will be back in action on Wednesday, January 15th when they travel to Monroe Community College to take on the Spartans at 4PM.
