OSWEGO, NY – Congratulations to Matt McQuade for being named the SUNYAC Men's Ice Hockey Player of the Week.

McQuade had himself an exciting White Out Weekend in Oswego New York. Friday night against the Potsdam Bears, McQuade secured his first hat trick of the season in a 9-0 rout of the Bears. Saturday night, McQuade scored the game winning fourth goal late in the third to give the Lakers a huge conference win over rival Plattsburgh. McQuade accumulated a +4 for the weekend overall. As the post season rapidly approaches, the Lakers are currently the two-seed in the SUNYAC with one game remaining.

So far this season, McQuade is tied for third on the team with 6 goals. He has also dished out six assists for a total of 11 points on the season. Matt comes to Oswego from Stittsville, Ontario and is in his sophomore season.

The Lakers will hit the road later this week in their final regular season game of the season to take on the SUNY Cortland Red Dragons on Friday in another SUNYAC match-up.
