OSWEGO, NY – The Lakers men's tennis team was back in action this afternoon when they hosted the Cardinals of St John Fisher University.
THE BASICS

HOW IT HAPPENED
Taking care of business early on was
Ethan Bannochie and
Anthony Marcano in a doubles match. They took down their opponents by a score of 8-3.
Maurice Meyer and
Matthew Mannara were in a match that was a bit tighter. They took down their opponents with a final score of 8-6.
The final doubles match was with
Charles Friedman and
Austin Davis taking on the Cardinals. In an exciting match that went down to the final point, Friedman and Davis won, 8-7.
Tony Marcano was dominant in his singles win, taking down Anthony Molosag, 6-0, 6-0. He was followed up by
Ethan Bannochie who captured a single win of his own, 6-3, 6-1.
Maurice Meyer took on Tyler Hernandez from the Cardinals and won the first set 6-4. Meyer took control of the second set to win decisively, 6-1.
Matthew Mannara played a competitive match against Will Chubb of St John Fisher. Mannara Pulled away in the second set winning 6-5, 6-3.
Outstanding student involvement winner
Austin Davis took down his opponent as well in two sets 6-2, 6-0. Charlie Friedman was the final singles match of the night against Zach DeCaro of St John Fisher. This match took some extra time to decide a winner but in the end, Charlie fell 6-4, 5-6, 7-10.

The men's tennis team will head to Alfred University on Tuesday April 9
th for another spring season match, starting at 3:00 PM.
