HOW IT HAPPENED
Men's Meet:
The Oswego State Men's team took an early lead during the 200 Yard Medley Relay with their A Relay and B Relay placing first and second respectively.
The Lakers maintained their lead in the next event, as Manav Sindhi, Ryan Liedka, and Michael Neckers finished second, third, and fourth in the 1000 yard freestyle.
Jake Sarnowski took first in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:54.38. Sam Waddell finished third at 1:57.38, and Jason Ruiz took fifth with a time of 2:14.08
Jayden Hernandez won the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 57.36.
Nathan Ratta Vine finished with a first place time of 1:02.46 in the 100 yard breaststroke.
Mitchell Stevens took first in the 200 yard butterfly with a time of 2:06.36
Ryan Murphy and Duncan Smith took first and third in the 50 yard freestyle, with Murphy going a 22.81.
Murphy went back to back, winning the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 49.48
Sam Waddell and Michael Neckers took second and third in the 200 yard backstroke. Followed shortly after by Nathan Ratta Vine and Manav Sindhi who finished first and second in the 200 yard breaststroke.
Antonio Medina and Ryan Liedka finished first and second in the 500 yard freestyle, and Jake Sarnowski touched out Mitchell Stevens to win the 100 yard butterfly.
Daniel Hodge finished first in 1 meter diving with a score of 161.15, just barely beating Anthony Serrano, who finished second with 160.95. Serrano also finished the 3 meter diving with a score of 161.95.
Jake Sarnowski took first in the 200 yard IM, and the men's 400 yard freestyle relay took first place to close out an impressive day for the Men's team.
Women's Meet:
The Women's Team kicked things off in the 200 Yard Medley Relay, finishing first, second and third, earning all the points for the event.
Emily Seldin swam the 1000 yard freestyle alone, bolstering an impressive time of 11:25.22
Emily Lotito took the crown in the 200 yard freestyle, finishing with a time of 2:12.82. Izzy Dague followed that up with a first place finish of her own in the 100 yard backstroke.
Jayna Laferriere, Katherine Burch, and Kaitlin Wheeler finished second,third, and fourth in the 100 yard breaststroke, and Bella McDonald won the 200 yard butterfly with a time of 2:26.13.
McKenna Briggs took first in the 50 yard freestyle in her homecoming meet after transferring to SUNY Oswego three semesters ago from MCC. She doubled down, also taking first in the 100 yard free with a time of 57.00.
Serena Bardin won both the 1 meter and 3 meter diving competitions, with scores of 186.40 and 182.40 respectively. Amber Burke finished second in the 1 meter with a score of 152.90.
Izzy Dague, Fion Hon, and Maura Waite came first, second, and third in the 200 yard backstroke, further extending the Lakers lead.
Emily Lotito finished first in the 200 Yard Breaststroke, with a time of 2:42:86, and Emily Seldin took first in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 5:36.64.
Katherine Burch took first in the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 1:05.56, and Bella McDonald won the 200 yard IM, with a time of 2:25.02.
The Women's team finished the meet with first place finish in the 400 yard freestyle relay.

The Oswego State Lakers head back to the Rochester area this Saturday to take on the Roberts Wesleyan Redhawks at 1PM.
