BROCKPORT, NY. - The SUNY Oswego Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving teams traveled to Rochester, NY this afternoon to take on the Roberts Wesleyan Redhawks.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Men's Meet:
The meet kicked off with the 200 yard medley relay, where the Lakers "A" and "B" relays finished in second and third place, earning a total of six points out of the event.
Jake Sarnowski, Ryan Liedka, and Mike Neckers took second, fourth, and fifth in the 1000 yard freestyle, collectively earning seven more points for the team, but falling behind Roberts.
Roberts' lead continued to grow, as Ryan Murphy, Antonio Medina, and Ryan Liedka finished second, third, and fifth in the 200 yard freestyle, earning eight points, while Roberts earned eleven.
Jayden Hernandez and Sam Waddell cut down the deficit, taking first and second in the 100 yard backstroke, and the momentum continued, as Nathan Ratta Vine, Manav Sindhi, and Will Sterling took first, third, and fourth respectively in the 100 yard breaststroke.
Mitchell Stevens, Van Wilton, and Ryan Gublo took second, third, and fourth in the 100 yard butterfly, keeping the score difference the same, and Ryan Murphy and Duncan Smith followed that up by taking first and second in the 50 yard freestyle, with Murphy beating Smith by .01 seconds.
Anthony Serrano took second in 3-meter diving with a score of 180.65, and third in 1-meter diving with a score of 151.40. Daniel Hodge scored 175.85 in 1-meter diving, taking second place.
Sam Waddell, Ryan Murphy, and Duncan Smith swept the competition away in the 100 yard freestyle, finishing first, second, and third respectively.
Jayden Hernandez, Mitchell Stevens, and Mike Neckers took first, second, and fifth in the 200 yard backstroke, extending the Lakers lead, and then Nathan Ratta Vine, Manav Sindhi, and Will Sterling took first, third, and fourth in the 200 yard breaststroke.

Nathan Ratta Vine took first in the 100 yard IM, and the Lakers swept the 200 yard freestyle relay, winning the meet 178-113.
Women's Meet:
In the 200 yard medley relay, the Laker took first and third, earning 13 points out of the event. Bella McDonald, Emily Seldin, and Emily Lotito finished first, second, and fourth in the 1000 yard freestyle, extending the team's lead even further.
Jayna Laferriere and Emily Seldin took second and third in the 200 yard freestyle, followed up by Izzy Dague, Fion Hon, and Maura Waite sweeping both the 100 and 200 yard backstroke events, taking first, second and third.
Emily Lotito, Aurora Jarvie, and Kaitlin Wheeler finished second, third, and fourth in both the 100 and 200 yard breaststroke events, and Katherine Burch, Bella McDonald, and Anna Baker did the same in the 100 yard butterfly.
Jayna Laferriere and McKenna Briggs finished first and second in both the 50 yard freestyle, and the 100 yard freestyle, earning another 26 points for the team.
Serena Bardin and Amber Burke finished fourth and fifth in 1-meter diving.
Emily Seldin, Bella McDonald, and Anna Baker took second, third, and fourth in the 500 yard freestyle. Katherine Burch, Aurora Jarvie, and Fion Hon finished first, third, and fourth in the 50 yard butterfly.
Izzy Dague, Katherine Burch, and Anna Baker took first, third, and fourth in the 100 yard IM, and the Lakers took first in the 200 yard freestyle relay, walking away with the win 171-122.

The Oswego State Lakers will face off against the Cortland Red Dragons next Saturday, January 25th at 1PM in Oswego.
