FREDONIA, NY. - The Lakers traveled to SUNY Fredonia to take on the Blue Devils, and walked away victorious by a score of 5-4.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Lakers started out hot, outshooting Fredonia 13-6 in the first 5 minutes. Cam Symons found the back of the net with 13:03 left in the first on a rebound past the glove of Fredonia's goaltender. Drake Semrad made it 2-0 just two minutes later, again crashing the net and getting a third chance goal for the Lakers. The Lakers added a third goal on the powerplay with 1 minute left on the clock, as Nico Paone found the net.
In the second period, it only took 3 minutes for the Lakers to extend their lead, thanks to a goal by Niklas Miller. Shortly after, the Lakers were playing short-handed and let in a goal with 10:58 left to go in the second. Fredonia netted another with 8 left in the second, again on a power play. The rest of the second period remained scoreless, as the Lakers went into the final break ahead 4-2.
Josh Simpson made it 5-2 just a few minutes into the third, all but securing the victory for the Lakers. Fredonia would tack on two more goals in the third making it 5-4 with just 1:30 left in the period, but the Lakers defense held strong, earning a 5-4 win over the Blue Devils.

The Lakers will be back in action tomorrow, in Buffalo, NY, where they are set to take on the Buffalo State Bengals at 7:00PM.
